Pathways to Integration

  • Goal: To establish a Europe-wide network for reflecting on individual migration stories

  • Focus groups in Finland, Iceland and Austria with participants aged between 18 and 30, living in Finland, Iceland, Austria and North Macedonia, to reflect on their own flight and migration history and the welcoming culture.

  • Competence development and project development for solution development, resilience building and intercultural dialogue

SprachLAB

  • Goal: To use language for networking, to highlight the diversity of the Griesviertel neighborhood and to organize joint leisure and learning activities.

  • Community work together with the Neighborhoods Office

  • Raising awareness of the diversity and different interests of the Griesviertel district through activities

  • Supporting and encouraging people from the neighborhood in implementing their ideas

GarDem - Garden Democracy

  • Goal: Community gardens should not only beautify the streetscape, but also become places for meeting, shared activity and non-formal learning centers for democratic participation.

  • Gardeners are organizing to become a community center.

  • Workshops on gardening, sustainability, teamwork, team organization and democratic thinking as a basis for collaboration in diversity

  • Community gardening is combined with community activities.

Keynote speeches “Diversity on the table!”

  • Objectives: To focus on migration-specific diversity and marginalized perspectives, and to present data, facts, experiences and solutions for dealing with them and to position them in society.

  • To give civil society the opportunity to exchange ideas, network, educate themselves and ask questions openly.

  • To offer people with a migration background a platform to act as a voice for their community and for their own needs and issues, as well as to serve as role models and to demonstrate that it is essential for a future-proof society and organizations to actively work towards a less discriminatory approach.
