Community of the future:
Round Table on Human Rights
The project aims to strengthen positive coexistence in a Styrian community, fostering diversity , participation , and human rights . As part of the project, DieWIRcity collaborates with residents and key stakeholders to identify the challenges and potential of a lived community culture of human rights – including equality, anti-discrimination, and the promotion of participation, inclusion, and integration, especially for people with refugee and migration backgrounds. Following the participatory process, we support community decision-makers in developing concrete strategies to respond to the identified initiatives.
Specifically, the following will take place:
-
2 human rights workshops with the population & key stakeholders to identify the challenges and potentials, especially regarding people with refugee and migration backgrounds
-
1. Round table with decision-makers to discuss the results and develop action strategies
Dates:
Ideas workshop, May 6, 2026, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m., Trofaiach Town Hall
In a participatory workshop, municipalities, local associations, organizations, institutions and the population discuss which services should be promoted in the Leoben district to strengthen social and economic participation for people with and without a migration background.
